CEPM held India’s First International conference on Project Management in 1992 which laid the foundation of scientific project management in India. Since then CEPM is unique in that it is organizing a well attended annual Global Symposium on Project Management every single year for last 29 years in New Delhi. The first three from 1992-94 were held in association with United Nations Development Program (UNDP). This year the 30th global Symposium is being held in 15-16 Dec in New Delhi.

In 2019 the World Project Management Forum (WPMF) was Founded by Mr. Adesh Jain, Chairman i2P2M as an all inclusive project management forum with wide support from all over the world. The 27th Global Symposium held in New Delhi was dedicated to the Inaugural World Project Management Forum (WPMF) Meet.

This widely appreciated event had 500+ participants from 120 organisations across 15 countries covering central government, state governments, public and private sector, academia, and R&D.  Leading experts from 12 countries addressed the participants as speakers. This event was supported by NITI Aayog, Make In India, the Ministries of Statistics & Programme Development and Shipping as well as Seven leading Associations. Sponsors included 5 leading corporates – Indian Oil,  NTPC,  BEML,  DMICDC and IGL with Microsoft, India was Technology Partner.

In 2020 and 2021 the 28th & 29th global symposiums dedicated to the 2nd & 3rd World Project Management Forum (WPMF) Meet were held virtually in association with the not for profit International Institute of Projects and Program Management (i2P2M).

NITI Aayog supported the WPMF and global symposium in – 2019, 2020 and 2021. The event has got support from Central and State Governments,  various Associations and industry and academia. Participants were addressed by who’s who of India and outside India.
