The 6th WPMF Meet was successully held along with the 32nd Global Symposium 2024 on 16th & 17th December 2024  at Hotel Le Meridien, New DelhiEvent was  organized by CEPM in association with the International Institute of Projects and Program Management (i2P2M), a Section 8, not for profit company. 

There were 215+ participants from 28 organisations from India and outside India covering Government, Public and Private sector companies. 

Dr. S. Somanath, Chairman, ISRO and Secretary Department of Space, Government of India and Chairman, Space Commission who was the Guest of Honour Inauguated the meet on 16th morning. 5 leading persons – Mr. Deepak Gupta, Director (Projects), GAIL; Mr N Senthil Kumar, Director (Pipelines) and Board Member of IndianOil, Mr. K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, NBCC (india) Ltd. Ms. Geetanjali Lamba Gandhi, Head of Program Management – Transitions, Genpact, USA and Mr. Purusottam Bej, Former Director General of DRDO were conferred the Honorary CEPM Fellowship in the Inaugural Function.

Another exciting moment was the declaration of the winners of the <b>National Project Excellence Awards (NPEA) </b>given jointly by i2P2m and CEPM. 6 projects under different categories won the coveted Awards. 

Under the Mega Infrastructure category the best project for 2024 was the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (Atal Setu) project won by L&T ECC for Atal Setu’s Package 1 and by Daewoo-Tata Projects JV for it Atal Setu’s Package 2. 

Winners for the below 5 categories were: 

     (Innovation) – Defence Electronics Research Laboratory for their Dharashakti project 

    (One of it’s Kind)  by Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE) for their ATAGS project

    (Technology) – Naval Science & Technology Laboratory (NSTL) for their ALWT project

    (Building & Construction)  – Directorate of Civil Works & Estates (DCW & E) for their Mission 450FCS project

   (AAtma Nirbhar) – Defence Research & Development  Laboratory (DRDL) for their QRSAM project

There were interesting Keynote presentations from well known National and International experts, Panel Discussions, Paper presentations and Case Studies.

In 2019 the World Project Management Forum (WPMF) was launched by Chairman, i2P2M, Adesh Jain with support from global PM experts. The Inaugural WPMF Meet was held in New Delhi with the 27th Global Symposium on Project Management. 600+ participants from 116 organizations across 15 countries attended and Speakers were from 16 countries. The event has got support from  NITI Aayog, the policy Think Tank of Govt. of India, “Make In India” initiative of Govt. Of India, various Ministeries and leading public and private sector  companies as well as seven leading Associations. NITI Aayog supported the WPMF Inaugural Meet and Global Symposium in 2019, and again in 2020 and 2021.
